Kingston Technology 1GB Elite Pro Secure Digital (SD) Card 50x manufacturer: Kingston
price: £12.97
More info about the Kingston Technology 1GB Elite Pro Secure Digital (SD) Card 50x | This Kingston card represents an excellent balance between price and performance. I have used one in both Pentax Optio 5n and a Panasonic DMC-FZ7 cameras and have found the performance to be faultless. There is clearly a benefit in paying a little extra for a premium card such as the Elite Pro. Apart from the noticeably faster/read speed formatting is also near to instantaneous. Compare the Amazon price to that of the high street - you get more than double the capacity for the same price so a no brainer really. Buy with confidence. + More reviews for Kingston Technology 1GB Elite Pro Secure Digital (SD) Card 50x...

Kingston Technology 1GB Secure Digital (SD) Card manufacturer: Kingston
price: £8.88
More info about the Kingston Technology 1GB Secure Digital (SD) Card | It is amazing how the price of SD cards has fallen over the years and this little beauty is one of those little marvels that comes with a brilliant price while being a very good product.
I have had this card for over two months now and it has not shown to present date a single problem. I use SD cards with my iPAQ storing a very wide range of data from word files to pdf files and even film clips. I currently have five episodes of Friends stored on the card which comes in very handy when I am stuck on the train between towns. The data transfer rate is superb even though the films are of a high bit rate there is no stalling in the video playback. Overall this is another superb SD card by Kingston that I have acquired(I already have two other cards made by the company) and I believe that I will be getting another one soon (got an eight hour flight ahead of me and the onboard movie is bound to be rubbish). All in all five stars for this little charm.

ByteStor 1GB High-Speed SD (Secure Digital) Card 80X manufacturer: ByteStor
price: £16.90
More info about the ByteStor 1GB High-Speed SD (Secure Digital) Card 80X | I recently purchased the 1GB SD card for my Kodak camera having previous purchased the 512mb which I gave a very favourable review. This is the opposite I m afraid it s not up to the job.
I may have problably got the only bad one in the batch but all the same the results are very disappointing. It worked for about one week then the problems started.
It crashes all the time and I have to remove the batteries in the camera to get it going again. Then I started getting messages to format the card over and over again which I did. I lost a few pictures hoping this would solve the problem wrong. Now I can t read or store any info on it.
Beware if you decide to buy this card I have had a bad experience but it may just be the one rotten apple in the batch which I was unfortunate to purchase. Would I buy this again NO. I may opt for the safety of a named brand and pay a little more. 1GB=500+ of pictures on a 5mp setting a sizeable chunk of data to lose if it all goes wrong. + More reviews for ByteStor 1GB High-Speed SD (Secure Digital) Card 80X...
